July book club pick

Book Club pick for July: The Most Fun We Ever Had by Claire Lombardo. This book is on the longer side, so if you’re not up for it, that’s okay! Every one is welcome to come to the next meeting on July 9th at 2 pm and chat about what you’ve been reading lately. If you’d like a copy, I have extras on my holds shelf.

Shelf Care Book Club

Book Club meets today at 2 pm to discuss The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Anyone is welcome to come: no need to have read the previous book. It’s a nice chance to catch up with your neighbors!

Old Home Days

Come see us this weekend for Old Home Days. The library will be open regular hours 8:30-11:30 am. We will have a table set up under the tent with books for you to take home, along with some other goodies. Stop by and say hello!

Ancestry program

If genealogy interests you, stop by the library on Wednesday June 5th from 4-6 pm. We can get you set up on a computer and see what you can find! A great way to get started on your searches. Search results can include:

  • Birth, marriage, and death records (these are also known as vital statistics)
  • Census records
  • Immigration and travel records
  • Military records
  • School, directories, and church histories
  • Tax, criminal, land, and wills
  • Reference, dictionaries, and almanacs
  • Stories and publications
  • Photos and map

Book donations
